I am so glad it is over and I can get back to the Witcher 2. the rest of the game) and also the attempt at variety, including a section like this in this game significantly weakens the experience.
In the end, this section took me about 4 hours.Īlthough I appreciate the desire for narrative game-play (i.e. When I did finally get through it to be Gerralt again,(never so happy to see a Draug in my life) my save game corrupted and I got to do it all again. It was also not apparent if any of my stats/bonuses were in play? And on top of it all, no saving. (I did a test and I died in the same number of hits parrying versus not parrying).
No abilities (didn't spec for riposte),equipment, choices, potions, signs, dodging or even parrying. It is the fact that everything I like about playing the Witcher 2 dissapears during this section. Not because it was difficult (I replayed the entire second chapter to spend 3hrs on a fight with the Operator, which is an insanely fun fight btw).
