The developer is doing rolling invites to the closed beta, and I just got in. Its much-anticipated sequel has been ostensibly in the works since 2012 with a murky, ever-shifting release date, but 2019 finally brought us playable builds, and TaleWorlds promises an early access release in March 2020 (though no final release has been pegged yet). The original Mount & Blade and its myriad expansions, developed by Turkish indie developer TaleWorlds, was a rough but delightfully engaging war simulator and combat action RPG. But, starting next year, you’ll be able to do it with moderately better graphics, if the closed beta for Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord is anything to go by. Well, you’ve been able to do that since 2008.
What if I told you that you could play Mount & Blade?
